writes. teaches. mothers. believes.

An authentic journey deserves to be archived. Your journal allows you to keep your memories, triumphs, and hardships sacred. Too often, the hectic pace of life asks us to forget our strengths, hopes, and unchartered pasts. Journaling is a way of using one's internal dialogue as a method of healing and of inspiration.
I'd love to guide your reading group, clients, or even close friends in documenting the enigmatic pieces of this fabulous puzzle called life.
~ discover feelings that are difficult to verbalize
~ guide truth onto the paper
~find solutions & new paths through intimate writing
~ explore the strength, fragility & chaos that exists within
~archive emotional/mental progress or stagnation
~create a blueprint or catalyst to preserving sense of self and one's esteem
As facilitator of Journal the Journey Workshops, I hold my passion for journaling as priceless. I believe that the art of honest self-documentation is key to living a life of integrity and vision. I can be reached at ayeshagallion@yahoo.com.
Happy Journaling!
Workshop I: Transcending Adversity and Claiming Triumph
This quintessential workshop encourages the student to pinpoint recent or past areas of difficulty through exploring reaction, solutions, and residual emotions. Through free-writing and guided exercises, the student learns how to trust his/her perception while widening his/her outlook for future success and focus. This workshop is especially useful for survivors of emotional and verbal abuse.
Workshop II: Redefining the Sensual Self
For the woman or man who is washed out, worn out and too busy to care! This fun journaling course takes a serious approach to celebrating the feminine and masculine in all who have forgotten the unique presence they possess. Through guided exercises, various prompts, and free-writing students will closely examine their sensual connection to self. How the student walks, drinks, laughs, and even the shape of the student’s lips will be subject for exploration. This class is not of a sexual nature, although some of the discussion may touch upon sexuality. Only students age 18+ are allowed to register for this workshop.
Workshop III: A Letter to My Daughter/Son
This workshop guides the student in creating an ongoing journal or series of journals for his/her offspring. Examples of this might be journaling through pregnancy for the unborn child; creating a journal to present to a child upon his/her 16th birthday, or journaling for a group of children. The course will cover various mediums and organization methods for journaling for children and students will be given opportunities to explore the purpose of their journals. Students will focus on learning how to “speak” to the child through direct first person dialogue; second-person observation; and impromptu or planned poetry. This is a great course for those parents interested in starting a working documentary of their family heritage as these kinds of journals certainly will hold historical and social value. All parents, guardians, and others welcome.
