Hi, and thanks for stopping by, pleased to meet you! When I'm not cooking for my two little kiddos, planning out lessons for my fabulous students, or finding time to write & blog - I'm usually staring into space from exhaustion and in denial about the dishes in the sink. Send me a line and I promise I'll write back
while on autopilot. :)
A 2009 Geraldine Dodge Fellow, I'm also a graduate student at Rutgers University, where I'm studying English and concentrating in Women and Gender Studies.
I wish you happy journaling and resilience!

Enjoy a cup of tea while navigating the musings of resilient women, literature, life, simplicity, and culture. I began this blog to celebrate transcendental women throughout the ages and diasporas. Don't be a stranger!

destination II: discovery
my fingers delicately tracing
all that is amazing about this smiling reflection
with eyes that tell stories I will share with two wise children --
a curly haired boy and precocious brown-eyed girl.
my mind malleable,
an open door.
my days bound by the tautness of hope,
a tightrope of tenacity
i walk
falling sometimes
gracefully
happily
into this frantic, messy, blissful life.
i am blinded
by brilliant shards of love
that light
the path
of my beautiful descent
